Abby Galvin is an intermedia artist based in Phoenix, AZ. Her participatory and sometimes collaborative practice explores methods of education and information exchange within and between institutions whose structures are often opaque and intensely hierarchical, such as a school, a prison, and a live-in manufacturing plant. Her work privileges these practices of information-sharing as a potential assertion of the collective power of low-wage laborers.
